Buying vs Renting a Bed in Visakhapatnam

Cost factor	Buy a queen bed	Rent from Rentomojo
Day-one outlay	₹15,000–₹40,000 for a mid-market queen frame	A refundable deposit, about one month's rent
Twelve months of use	Paid upfront, in full	₹399 a month on a Napster queen, or ₹4,788
Repairs	Loose joints and slat failures are on the owner	Included; raised through the app
Moving house	Dismantling, movers and reassembly each time	Free, within Vizag and to 27+ cities

Bottom line: For a posting of under three years — which covers most of Vizag's IT, port, and medical-resident population — renting works out cheaper once movers and repairs are factored in. Buying suits a permanent resident or anyone staying for 4-5 years or more.

Frequently Asked Questions — Bed on Rent in Visakhapatnam

Q: How much does a bed on rent cost per month in Visakhapatnam?

A: A bed on rent in Visakhapatnam starts at ₹361/mo for an Aurora low-height solid wood single on a 36-month plan. A Napster metal queen is ₹391/mo, a Poise wooden queen ₹498/mo, a Kipper solid wood queen ₹744/mo, and a Hutch hydraulic storage queen ₹1,400/mo. Shorter tenures have higher rates than longer plans.

Q: Does a rented bed come with a mattress in Vizag?

A: A mattress is rented separately and added to the same subscription at checkout. Mattresses are listed in single, queen and king sizes across foam, coir and foam, ortho memory foam and spring.

Q: What happens to a rented bed when moving out of Visakhapatnam?

A: The subscription moves with the customer. The bed is dismantled, transported and reassembled at the new address across the 27+ cities served, at no extra cost on eligible plans.

Q: Which bed frame handles Vizag's coastal humidity best?

A: Solid wood beds are also widely rented here; the practical precaution is to leave a gap between the frame and an outer wall that stays damp through the monsoon rather than pushing it toward the wall.

Q: Are storage beds available on rent in Visakhapatnam?

A: Yes. The Hutch queen hydraulic storage bed is available for ₹1,400/mo on a 36-month plan and ₹1,786/mo on a 3-month plan.

Q: Is renting a bed cheaper than buying in Visakhapatnam?

A: For stays under roughly three years, yes. A mid-market queen frame costs ₹15,000–₹40,000 new and resells slowly. Twelve months on a Napster queen is ₹4,788, with assembly, repairs and relocation carried by the plan rather than paid for separately at each move.

Q: What is the shortest bed rental tenure available in Vizag?

A: Three months. After the term ends, billing continues monthly at the same rate, which suits medical residents and trainees on fixed rotations, as well as project postings around the port and the IT campuses.

Q: Does Rentomojo deliver beds to Madhurawada, Gajuwaka and Rushikonda?

A: Yes, along with MVP Colony, Seethammadhara, Dwaraka Nagar, PM Palem, Yendada, Akkayyapalem and Sheela Nagar. Serviceability is confirmed by PIN code in the app, and the delivery window for that PIN code is shown before payment.
