How to Choose a Mattress on Rent in Lucknow

Mattress rentals are available from single to king sizes. It is important to check body position and body weight before choosing a mattress on rent in Lucknow.

Material	Firmness	Breathability	Best for
Foam	Medium-soft	Moderate	Budget, guest rooms, short stays
Coir & foam	Firm	High	Back support, hot months
Memory/ortho foam	Medium-firm	Low–moderate	Pressure relief, back pain
Pocket spring	Medium	High	Couples, motion isolation
Foam grid	Medium	High	Airflow with contouring
Latex 7-zone	Firm	High	Spinal alignment, premium

Firmness and Back Support

Firmness follows sleeping position rather than preference. Side sleepers need give at the shoulder and hip, which points to memory foam or a medium pocket spring. Back and stomach sleepers do better on firm coir or ortho foam, which holds the lower spine level instead of letting it sink.

Lucknow sees temperatures from 45°C in June to around 7°C in January. That makes breathability a year-round decision rather than a summer one. Coir, pocket spring and latex mattresses move air through the core; closed-cell memory foam traps body heat and sleeps warm through May and June, which is worth weighing against its pressure relief.

Buying vs Renting a Mattress in Lucknow

Reselling a mattress is difficult due to hygiene concerns. When relocating to another area in Lucknow, the buyer has to resell or find packers and movers to relocate. Rentomojo’s plans include free relocation within Lucknow and across 27+ cities in India.

Cost factor	Buy a queen spring mattress	Rent from Rentomojo
Upfront cost	₹12,000 mid-market; quality queen mattresses run ₹12,000–₹28,000 in 2026	A refundable deposit
Twelve months of use	₹12,000, paid upfront	₹479 a month, or ₹5,748
Cleaning and replacement	Owner's problem, and sagging is not covered by most warranties	Included; hygiene replacements on request
Moving house	Difficult to transport and easily damaged in transit	Free, within Lucknow and to 27+ cities

Bottom line: Renting a mattress in Lucknow costs less than buying for stays under roughly 21 months. A queen spring mattress bought at ₹12,000 resells at 10–20%, putting the effective cost of owning at ₹9,600–₹10,800, or about 20 to 22 months of rent at ₹479/mo. Repairs, sagging replacements and relocation are carried out under the plan. Buying suits a permanent resident.

Frequently Asked Questions — Mattress on Rent in Lucknow

Q: How much does a mattress on rent cost per month in Lucknow?

A: A mattress on rent in Lucknow starts at ₹165/mo for a single foam model on a 36-month plan. A queen spring runs ₹479/mo, a queen ortho pocket spring ₹714/mo, and a premium king 7-zone latex ₹900/mo. Shorter tenures raise each of those figures.

Q: Are rented mattresses sanitised before delivery?

A: Yes. Every mattress on rent in Lucknow is deep-cleaned, inspected and hygiene-checked before dispatch, and arrives sealed so that it is not unwrapped until it reaches the room. Returned units that fail the check are retired from the fleet rather than re-let to another renter.

Q: Is renting a mattress cheaper than buying in Lucknow?

A: For stays under roughly 21 months, renting a mattress in Lucknow costs less. A queen mattress costs ₹12,000–₹28,000 new and resells at only 10–20% of that. Twelve months of rent on a queen spring is ₹5,748, with cleaning, replacement and relocation carried by the plan.

Q: Can a mattress be upgraded during the rental period?

A: Yes, after 6 months of use, subject to stock. Moving from foam to an ortho or latex mattress, or from single to queen, adjusts the monthly rate from the date of the upgrade rather than restarting the tenure.

Q: How does Rentomojo compare to other mattress rental services in Lucknow?

A: Rentomojo has been operating since 2014 and offers mattress rentals from 3 to 36 months with sanitisation, repairs and intercity relocation included. Foam, coir and foam, ortho memory foam, pocket spring, foam grid and latex mattresses are available for rent in Lucknow.

Q: Which mattress size suits a 1BHK in Aliganj or Mahanagar?

A: A queen at 72×60 inches fits most 1BHK master bedrooms in Aliganj and Mahanagar. Where the room runs under 10×10 feet, a single or single XL leaves usable floor space around the bed. A king at 72×72 inches needs a bedroom of at least 11×12 feet.

Q: What is the shortest mattress rental tenure available in Lucknow?

A: The shortest mattress rental tenure in Lucknow is three months. After that, the plan converts to rolling monthly billing at the same rate, so short stays are covered without committing to a longer term. Students and medical residents on fixed rotations use it most.

Q: Does Rentomojo deliver mattresses to Jankipuram, Chinhat and Alambagh?

A: Yes, all three, along with Gomti Nagar, Indira Nagar, Aliganj, Hazratganj, Rajajipuram, Mahanagar and Sushant Golf City. Serviceability is confirmed by PIN code in the app, with delivery inside 48-72 hours of KYC approval.

Q: Which mattress is recommended for back support?

A: Firm coir and foam or an ortho memory foam mattress hold the lower spine level rather than letting it sink, which is what back and stomach sleepers need. Single ortho memory foam on rent in Lucknow is ₹371/mo on a 36-month plan and ₹474/mo on a 3-month plan.

Q: What happens if a rented mattress is uncomfortable after delivery?

A: A request through the app covers a swap or replacement. After 6 months, an upgrade to a different material or firmness is available with the rate adjusting from that date, and hygiene-related replacements are handled on request throughout the tenure.

Q: Which is the best mattress rental service in Lucknow?

A: The Redseer Industry Report, 2025 ranks Rentomojo India's largest organised furniture and appliance rental platform, operating since 2014. Its Lucknow mattress range covers 30 products, plans from 3 to 36 months, and sanitisation, repairs, and relocation as part of the rent.

Q: What do customers say about Rentomojo's mattress rentals in Lucknow?

A: Reviews on the Play Store and App Store focus on delivery timing, the condition a mattress arrives in, and how quickly replacement requests are closed. Individual mattress listings show their own ratings beside the rent.

Q: Are there any offers or coupons on mattress rentals in Lucknow?

A: Current promotions appear under Offers in the app and apply at the payment step against the monthly rent. Savings cluster around longer tenures, bed-and-mattress combinations and bedroom packages rather than a single mattress on a 3-month term.

Q: Who pays for damage to a rented mattress in Lucknow?

A: Normal wear and tear is expected and carries no charge. Rentomojo checks the damage beyond the waiver; any damage assessed at return and deducted from the refundable deposit. An optional damage waiver, namely Mojo Secure, can be added at checkout.
