Frequently Asked Questions – AC on Rent in Indore

1. How much does an AC on rent cost in Indore?

AC rentals in Indore range from ₹1,106/mo for a 1-ton 3-star non-inverter split AC to ₹1,733/mo for a 2-ton 3-star convertible inverter split AC, both on 36-month plans. Shorter tenures cost more — the same 1-ton non-inverter unit is ₹1,529/mo on a 3-month plan.

2. Can I rent an AC for summer?

Yes. The minimum tenure for an AC rental in Indore is 3 months, which comfortably covers a summer season. Ending the subscription before the chosen tenure is complete incurs a pre-closure fee, so the 3-month plan is the practical option for seasonal use only.

3. Is renting an AC cheaper than buying?

Renting a 1.5-ton 3-star convertible inverter split AC costs ₹1,331/mo on a 36-month plan — about ₹15,972 a year, including installation and maintenance. Buying a comparable 1.5-ton unit costs ₹26,500 to ₹42,000 upfront, plus separate installation, annual servicing, and resale or relocation costs if the household moves.

4. Does the rental include installation and gas refills?

Home delivery and installation are included at no extra cost — Rentomojo's team connects the AC, so no separate technician is needed. Repairs are handled through the app, with a technician visiting within 24–48 hours.

5. How much electricity does a rented AC use?

Inverter split ACs adjust compressor speed to match cooling demand, typically using less electricity than non-inverter models during long or variable-use hours. Check the rating on the product page.

6. Is the security deposit refundable?

Yes. The security deposit for an AC rental, equivalent to 1–2 months' rent, is fully refundable and credited back within 7 days of the product's return, provided no damage is found during the quality check. An optional damage waiver, Mojo Secure, covers wear and tear separately.
