A new 1-ton split AC ranges between ₹25,000 and ₹35,000 in Hosur. The buyer then needs to bear the expenses of servicing and repairs. On the other hand, a 1 Ton 3 Star Non-Inverter Split AC for rent costs ₹10,800 (₹900 × 12) over a year.

Scenario	Buy a 1-Ton Split AC	Rent from Rentomojo
Upfront spend	₹25,000	One-time refundable deposit (1-2 months’ rent)
